Making an impact through engineering
Kristen Moore, an MS student in the Construction Engineering and Management program in the department of Civil, Materials, and Environmental Engineering, kickstarted her career in project management by interning with Turner Construction on the Barack Obama Presidential Center in Chicago. “I wanted to help people and impact people’s lives,” she said. “At first, I wanted to do it through medicine, but I thought I could make a bigger impact in engineering construction.”
