Engineering and tech need you!

Diverse perspectives lead to broader, better inputs to any system. We’re all individuals with our own set of experiences, ideas, triumphs, and struggles. To bring your full self to work or school is so important to ensure no voice is left behind.

UIC women inspire us. Let them inspire you. Heading link

UIC initiatives such as our Women in Engineering Programs and Break Through Tech Chicago reflect our belief that gender diversity enhances engineering and computer science. Research shows that diverse teams produce better outcomes than teams that are made up of people from uniform backgrounds: they generate a greater range of ideas, hold deeper discussions that yield better insights, and make choices that lead to a greater good for a wider range of people.

Our UIC College of Engineering students and alumni offer constant reminders of what women and nonbinary people can add to the engineering and tech fields. Meet some of them below.
