Jane Lin talks about ‘The Road to Zero-Emission Trucks’ on The Hill

Professor Jane Lin was a guest panelist on “The Road to Zero-Emission Trucks: Fleets & Shippers,” moderated by Steve Clemons, editor-at-large of The Hill.

The panel also included Steven Moelk, project implementation manager of Zero Emission Delivery Initiatives at IKEA; Russell Musgrove, managing director of global vehicles at FedEx Express; and Jimmy O’Dea, deputy director of trucks at CALSTART.

The discussion focused on the future of zero-emissions trucks for shippers and fleets. Panelists talked about the large-scale use of electric vehicles as a benefit to the environment and explored how proposed regulations are encouraging shippers to choose zero-emissions replacements for their diesel-powered trucks.

Lin started the discussion by answering this question: Why are electric vehicles coming online, and what’s the big driver?
