Assistant Professor Lauryn Spearing, of civil, materials, and environmental engineering, is focused on improving the level of service people receive from their infrastructure systems. She is concentrating on sociotechnical water infrastructure challenges, such as water access and affordability, and infrastructure systems operations during uncertain times like disasters, pandemics, and population changes.
