UIC’s College of Engineering is proud to welcome the class of 2013 to the ranks of our more than 22,000 alumni. The college held its 46th annual commencement ceremony on May 11, 2013 in the UIC Pavilion, awarding baccalaureate, master’s, and doctoral degrees in six departments to more than 500 students. Dean Peter Nelson presided over the ceremony, with a presentation of awards to faculty members Saeed Manafzadeh and Michael Scott. Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Lon Kaufman conferred the degrees and Bill Unger (LAS ’71), general partner of the Mayfield Fund, gave the commencement address.
